Venus Muse is a mobile bartending company offering handcrafted cocktails to the Metro Detroit area. Request the alcohol you want to be served, and we will handle the rest. We arrive fully stocked with the bar supplies you need, along with the service to impress the guests at your next event.

Our master mixologist, Lakeshia Leonard, has been a high-level bartending service for almost twenty years. In 2018, she decided to open her own business doing mobile bartending services for people in private settings such as weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, fundraisers, and more. Venus Muse was formed to bring premier mobile bartending services to the southeast Michigan region as a woman-owned, minority business.

In 2021, restaurants and public events reconvened services permitting the pandemic restrictions. During that same time, Ms. Leonard was offered a business opportunity to manage a cocktail lounge in downtown Pontiac, Michigan. She took the position and noticed she was challenged to fill bartender job openings with qualified applicants. Finding any skilled bartenders with proper training was very challenging. So, she decided that something needed to be done amid the ""great resignation"" and folks shifting out of their career paths.

Lakeshia added another service to Venus Muse by creating bartending programs to answer the demand for professionally trained bartenders in Metro Detroit. Lakeshia provides bartending education, speed, organizational skills, etiquette, and customer service and alcohol awareness at the Venus Muse bartending school. Then she will follow up the training with a job placement assistance program available to all of our Southeast Michigan graduates. Lakeshia's training and expertise packaged her knowledge as a mixologist to entry-level mixologists so they learn how to create cocktails, proper etiquette, and speed. She started in October 2021, and since then, she has certified over 70 students to be successful bartenders. All of her students are actively working as bartenders; some even work for her.

Venus Muse will also incorporate a staffing service with qualified bartender applicants. We will source, screen, and qualify bartenders, servers, cooks, and more. These services will be for temporary or permanent placement depending on your level of comfort.
